The Trichocereus candicans is a beautiful cactus species that occurs naturally in Argentina. Here this cactus grows between rocks on mountain slopes up to an altitude of 2000 meters.

The Trichocereus candicans has a beautiful dark green color. Her areoles on top of her ribs are white in color and have fluffy hairs. The spines have a light brown to reddish brown color. The Trichocereus candicans is an average grower and can grow over the years to a height of 80 cm with a diameter of 18-20 cm.

The Trichocereus candicans is not an easy bloomer. A cold wintering can help with this. These grow from the side of the cactus and can have a diameter of up to 20 cm. The flowers are white in color with a light yellow heart.

When this cactus overwinters in completely dry soil, the Trichocereus candicans can tolerate temperatures down to -8 °C.
