The Tunilla Chilensis occurs naturally in Chile. There the Tunilla Chilensis grows on mountain slopes. The genus Tunilla is related to the Opuntia. In the spring this cactus produces all kinds of leaves. In contrast to an Opuntia, the Tunilla is all oval, spherical leaves. Because it is a fast grower, this cactus can increase considerably in number in a year. After a few years it is also suitable as a hanging plant. This cactus produces bright red flowers in spring and/or summer. It is a very easy cactus. Which can also be without water for a long period of time. This is very useful if you forget it.
