The Tylecodon Buchholzi is a nice and unique caudex plant. The Tylecodon Buchholzi occurs naturally along coastal areas of Namibia and South Africa. Here this Tylecodon grows in dry rocky areas. The Tylecodon Buchholzi is a slow growing plant that eventually grows into small shrubs of 35 cm high. Due to its characteristic appearance, the Tylecodon Buchholzi are also used for bonsai.

The Tylecodon Buchholzi is a winter growing plant with us and goes dormant in the summer. Growth begins in the fall and lasts until the end of spring. The flowering period is at the end of spring. Then the Tylecodon Buchholzi goes into rest. The flowers of the Tylecodon Buchholzi are red-purple in color and approximately 4 mm in size.
